Floor Plan Editor 2.0: autarc enables heat load planning directly from floor plans – no on-site scan required

Floor Plan Editor 2.0: Heat load planning directly from floor plans

Berlin, August 2026 – autarc GmbH is expanding its planning software with the Floor Plan Editor 2.0. With the new editor, specialist companies can perform heat load planning directly based on a floor plan. Rooms can be drawn in, and all relevant planning data can be captured centrally within the editor. This allows planning to begin as soon as a floor plan is available—regardless of the actual on-site appointment.

For many heating companies, the planning phase is currently closely tied to customer appointments. Coordinating schedules, travel time, and on-site measurements take time and often delay the start of a project. At the same time, the shortage of skilled workers makes efficient resource planning difficult. With the Floor Plan Editor 2.0, specialist companies can prepare projects before the first site visit even takes place. This reduces the planning workload and creates more flexibility in day-to-day operations.

The new editor makes it possible to create rooms directly on a floor plan and carry out heat load planning almost entirely within a single interface. In addition to rooms, windows, doors, radiators, hot water systems, and air conditioning units can be recorded and edited. If a floor plan was previously read automatically using AI, any missing or incorrect walls can be easily added or corrected afterward. As the only solution of its kind, autarc combines 2D and 3D views within the same planning workflow.

"With the Floor Plan Editor 2.0, we are making heat load planning significantly more flexible," says Etienne-Noel Krause, co-founder and CEO of autarc GmbH. "Specialist companies can prepare their projects as soon as a floor plan is available. This not only simplifies planning for existing buildings but also opens up new possibilities for new construction projects, where planning can start even before construction begins."

The Floor Plan Editor 2.0 is available immediately in all autarc markets, including Germany, the UK, Italy, France, Spain, Poland, and Austria. The feature is integrated into the "Planning" section and is available to users of the heating and cooling planning module.
