Who is autarc?
autarc was founded in Berlin in 2023 by Etienne-Noel Krause and Thies Hansen. The company is developing a software platform for tradespeople who design and install heat pumps and photovoltaic systems. The team comprises over 40 employees with experience in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) sector, energy consultancy and software development. autarc was one of only a handful of German start-ups to be accepted into Y Combinator and has secured funding in the single-digit millions from investors such as PT1 PropTech1 Ventures, better ventures and Kai Hansen (founder of Lieferando). Over 2,000 businesses across Europe are already using the software.
